This Cedarburg home had sweeping views, classic architecture, and a young family dreaming of a home that felt as beautiful as it was functional.
The Colonial interiors had all the potential (think traditional floor plan and loads of character) but were weighed down by dark cherry wood, oversized built-ins, and early-2000s layouts that didn’t work for this family of four. They wanted a kitchen renovation that felt lighter, brighter, and more connected while honoring the home’s Colonial roots — room to cook, space for two little boys to spread out with homework, and yes, a pantry/laundry that could actually keep up with real life.
We reimagined the main floor with wider openings, a bright kitchen in natural tones, and custom cabinetry that blends modern convenience with traditional style. The pantry/laundry became a deep-green utility space that’s both hardworking and beautiful. Now the kitchen flows seamlessly into the dinette and living room — connecting the whole home for cooking, gathering, and everyday family life.
