This isn’t your typical dining room—it’s where bold style meets everyday family life, proving that high style and family-friendly comfort can coexist beautifully.
This Mequon dining room just took home an ASID Wisconsin award, and honestly, we can’t stop admiring the transformation. Part of a full-home refresh for a young family relocating closer to grandparents, they wanted a space that truly felt like theirs—stylish, cozy, and built for real life. The house itself was a grand executive estate—solidly built but missing that warm, lived-in vibe. Our mission? To bring warmth and meaning back to every room. And this dining room? It quickly became the heart and soul of the entire home.
When our clients first walked us through the space, they shared two clear goals:
The dining room sat front and center between the entry and kitchen, which meant it had to pull double duty: one part elevated style statement, one part everyday function.
But it came with a challenge: the long, narrow footprint. One centrally placed table would have made the room feel off-balance and underused. So instead, we split it in half—with intention.

We divided the room into two cohesive zones:
Together, they create a seamless, inviting space that feels both grand and grounded.

We leaned all the way in on deep, layered hues—drawing from the family’s travels to Portugal and the soulful tones they loved.

This family wanted a space they wouldn’t be afraid to live in. That meant easy-to-clean upholstery, durable materials, and a room that felt just as comfortable for a weeknight meal as it does for a holiday gathering.
A few highlights:

This dining room is moody, meaningful, and made for memories. And now? It’s an ASID Wisconsin award-winner—which feels like the cherry on top of a space already full of heart.
